Firstly, I was very excited when I found out about this assignment. Starting my own blog is what I've always wanted to do but I did not know where and how to start. I have learned so many things about myself and also about my fellow students. It is great to have been given a platform where you can express your feelings and thoughts and share them with others.
It was exciting to learn more about my fellow students, their passion and hopes. I was inspired by them and encouraged to do and give my best to ensure that I am successful on this journey and that I become the best teacher that I can be.
This was a great experience and I will continue to use this platform is a means to express myself and share my experiences with others.

My view on social media in th classroom.
Social media is a part of modern day society. Bringing social media such as blogs, the internet etc. into the classroom is a great way to get students involved and interested in your lesson. This way the teacher is able to share notes and ideas online and students can interact anytime they want.
Discussions on topics and ideas can take place, not only in class and videos can be shared online. If students should be uncertain about a topic or an assignment then Skype can also be integrated into the class context. This way the teacher also learns a lot from students and can monitor the students better.
I would personally integrate social media into my classroom and think that it is a great idea to interact and get to know your students better.

My Teaching Practice
My very first teaching practice experience was a very insightful one. I have learned so much about myself, my abilities, skills that I never knew I had. I always thought that I would be a "sweet", "nice" teacher whom everyone would like, but the reality is so much different. Standing in front of a classroom filled with students who has no respect or discipline is a very tough and terrifying thing.
You start to think of all the different- and of course the best way to approach the situation. I had to be strict, tough and firm, realizing that being "sweet' and "nice" does not make good teacher and being "tough" and "firm" does not make you a bad one. I believe that every student deserves to be taught by a great teacher. So, if being a great teacher means that you sometimes has to be firm and tough than so be it. As long as my students learn something valuable from me, that's all that matters. I have learned that it is also very important to remember that to earn respect you have to give respect. So as a teacher, I should always respect my students and consider that they are human first, before they are anything else.
I have grown so much since my first teaching practice experience and can not wait to grow even more until I become the kind of teacher I should and want to be.

How do I see myself as a teacher...
"The root of education is bitter but the fruits are sweet"
I have read the quote somewhere and it really made me think. I agree 100% with it. The challenges and sacrifices are worth it in the end. When you can look back and say, "I made it. I did it", that's all that really matters. Education opens so many doors and it broadens your window to so many mind-blowing opportunities. With education the possibilities are endless. You can be anything, achieve anything that you want to be. As a future teacher it is my responsibility to make students believe in themselves and believe that there are no limits to possibilities. To make a difference, is my ultimate goal. One of my deepest fears is to this be. I don't want to just be. I want to be remembered as: That remarkable teacher who had a huge influence on education in the country and who made a huge difference in the lives of so many people, young and old.
Why I want to be a teacher.
Why I want to be a teacher? The reasons are simple. I want to inspire, motivate and make a difference not only in society but also in the lives of my learners. I want to help them reach their full potential and achieve all their goals. I want to inspire learners to dream big and to plough back into their communities and society, to make a difference and to never give up on their dreams. I believe that no goals can be reached and achieved without the foundation of education. A good teacher is a great role model, a leader, a believer. A good teacher is patient and always goes the extra mile of his/her students. That is the kind of teacher I aspire to be.
